Scripture of the Day.

Matthew 28:15-10

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end other age.” Amen.

The Purpose. GOD’s Community Church of Clarksville Tennessee exists to glorify GOD by producing mature followers of Jesus Christ through Verse by Verse discipleship training. We do this by Proclaiming the true Gospel of Jesus Christ at Community level, Living out the true Gospel of Jesus Christ in Community and Sharing the true Gospel of Jesus Christ with our Community.

Church Covenant. Having been born again by the Word of GOD and the Spirit of GOD through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ  according to the provision of the abounding grace of GOD, and being justified on the grounds of the shed  blood of Jesus Christ, and acknowledging our willingness to confess Him as our Lord and Savior before men, we do now in the presence of GOD, the Holy Angels, and this Assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into Covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

W
e engage, therefore, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the  advancement of this local assembly, within the body of Christ, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality, to sustain its worship, ordinances, disciplines and doctrines, to contribute cheerfully, scripturally and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expense of the Church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all the nations by means of our missionaries and fundamental faith missions.

We also resolve to maintain family and private devotions; to bring up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord; and to seek the salvation of all mankind (2nd Corinthians 5:19).

Though the provision that God has made for victorious Christian living it shall be our desire to abstain from  fleshy lust that war against the soul, and to live a life of separation from sinful and worldly practices, with a 35 desire to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through the love of Christ we 36 will put away from us all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as GOD for Christ’s sake has forgiven us.

We recognize that one of the outstanding evidences of Christianity is love, according to the words of our blessed Lord when He said; “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”(John 13:35)

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love, remember each other in prayer; to aid one another in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of rules of our Savior to secure it without delay. And this we do depending entirely upon our Heavenly Father, Who so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son for our salvation, and Jesus Christ as our Savior. Who has redeemed us with His own precious blood, and the indwelling Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Teacher and Guide.
